What is Endodontics?

To understand endodontics, first of all, let us briefly talk about tooth anatomy. The crown on the part of the tooth that remains on the gum and appears in the mouth; in the mouth and the remaining part of the bone is called the root. The teeth consist of several layers. The outermost layer; the enamel layer seen above the gingival border. There is a structure called dentin under the mine layer. The outer tissues of the tooth, the enamel and dentine under the pulp tissue that has a soft connective tissue and which forms the living part of the tooth, is known as the "nerve of the tooth". The task of the pulp during the growth and development of a tooth is to feed it. Pulp tissue when a tooth is fully developed; by giving the pain to inform the patient that the tooth is damaged or inflamed.
